These Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and ASOCIACIÓN JUNIOR EMPRESA SYNKRO ("BackToLife", "we", "us", "our") that governs your access to and use of the BackToLife Parents mobile application (the "App", "Service").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the BackToLife Parents App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, access, or use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App. An account is required to use the App; see Section 3.3. The use of the main BackToLife app on the child's device is governed by its own Terms and Conditions at backtolife.site/terms.
BackToLife Parents is a companion application that allows a parent or legal guardian to supervise how their child uses social media through the BackToLife app installed on the child's device. Once the child's device is linked, the App allows you to:
Supervision features require the BackToLife app to be installed on the child's device, the devices to be linked with a linking code, and the necessary system permissions (including screen time permissions) to be granted on the child's device.

BackToLife Parents is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Apple Inc., Google LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc. (Instagram), or any of their subsidiaries or affiliated entities. Instagram, YouTube, iOS, and Android are trademarks of their respective owners.
The main BackToLife app operates by modifying the presentation and functionality of third-party platforms within a WebView environment on the child's device. This may infringe the Terms of Service of Instagram and YouTube. By using BackToLife Parents to supervise a child's use of BackToLife, you acknowledge and accept this risk on behalf of yourself and the supervised child (see Section 6).
BackToLife Parents may only be used by adults. To create an account and use the App you must:
By linking a child's device, you represent and warrant that you are the parent or legal guardian of that child and that you consent, on the child's behalf, to the supervision features and the associated data processing described in our Privacy Policy.
BackToLife Parents is a parental supervision tool, not a surveillance tool. You must NOT use the App to:
You are responsible for informing your child, in an age-appropriate way, that their device usage is supervised. The BackToLife app on the child's device also makes the supervision visible to the child. Any use of the App in breach of this Section is a material breach of these Terms, may be unlawful, and will result in immediate account termination. We reserve the right to report unlawful use to the competent authorities.

BackToLife Parents is a tool to support your parenting decisions. It does not replace parental judgment, supervision, or communication with your child. We do not guarantee:
Supervision features depend on system technologies and permissions on the child's device — on iOS, Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks; on Android, usage access and related permissions. If these permissions are revoked, restricted, or changed by the operating system, by an OS update, or on the device itself, supervision features may stop working partially or entirely. We are not responsible for changes that Apple or Google make to these technologies.
You remain solely responsible for your parenting decisions, for the supervision settings you configure, for their appropriateness to your child's age and maturity, and for complying with applicable law in your use of the App.
Through the main BackToLife app, the supervised child accesses Instagram and YouTube via WebView technology with filters applied. When the child uses BackToLife:
IMPORTANT: Using BackToLife to modify the functionality of Instagram or YouTube may infringe their Terms of Service. Both platforms may suspend or terminate accounts that violate their terms. By using BackToLife Parents to supervise a child's use of BackToLife, you:
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites, or any harm caused by them. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms and policies.
The App and all its contents, features, and functionalities are owned by ASOCIACIÓN JUNIOR EMPRESA SYNKRO, its licensors, or other content providers, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The BackToLife and BackToLife Parents names, logos, and all related product and service names are trademarks of ASOCIACIÓN JUNIOR EMPRESA SYNKRO. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.
If you provide us with comments, suggestions, or ideas about the App ("Feedback"): you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such Feedback; we are not required to use your Feedback; and you waive any right to compensation for Feedback we use.
BackToLife Parents is offered on a paid subscription basis. The specific features included, the applicable price, billing period, renewal conditions, and any free trial period will be clearly displayed in the App before you complete your purchase.
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through the platform from which you downloaded the App (Apple App Store or Google Play Store), unless otherwise stated in the App. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize the applicable app store to charge the subscription fees using the payment method linked to your store account. We do not directly collect or store your full payment card details; payments are processed by the applicable app store in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You will be charged for renewal within the period specified by the applicable app store before the start of the next billing period. You are responsible for cancelling before the renewal date if you do not want to be charged.
We may offer free trials, introductory pricing, discounts, or promotional offers at our discretion. If you start a free trial, your subscription may automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. The availability, duration, and conditions of any offer will be displayed before you subscribe.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the subscription management settings of the platform where you purchased it (Apple ID subscription settings for the App Store; Google Play subscription settings for Google Play). Deleting your account, unlinking your child's device, uninstalling the App, or ceasing to use the App does not automatically cancel your subscription. After cancellation, you will generally retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.
Refund requests for subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are handled by Apple or Google respectively, in accordance with their refund policies. We do not control app store refund decisions and cannot guarantee that a refund request will be accepted.
We may modify the features, pricing, or billing periods of our subscription plans from time to time. When required by applicable law or app store rules, we will provide notice before such changes take effect. If you do not agree to a change, you can cancel your subscription before the change applies.
If your payment fails, your payment method is declined, or your subscription expires or is cancelled, we may suspend or limit your access to the App's features — including supervision features — until a valid subscription is restored. It is your responsibility to maintain an active subscription if you rely on the App for supervision.
Nothing in this Section limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law, including EU consumer protection laws.
As an EU consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you download or purchase the App. To exercise this right, inform us by a clear statement, such as an email to info@backtolife.site. If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your notice.
EXCEPTION: If you requested that the service begin during the withdrawal period (such as immediate access to supervision features), you may lose your right of withdrawal or be charged for the services provided up to the date of withdrawal.
Under EU law, digital content and services must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, match the description provided, and have the qualities and performance normally expected. If the App does not conform, you may be entitled to have it brought into conformity, a proportionate price reduction, or termination of the contract and a full refund. These rights are in addition to any other legal rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws.
For EU consumers, we provide a legal warranty for conformity defects for a minimum period of 2 years from the delivery of the digital content, as required by Directive (EU) 2019/770.
Your privacy — and your child's — is important to us. The collection, use, and disclosure of personal data through BackToLife Parents is governed by the BackToLife Parents Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and available at backtolife.site/privacy-parents.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, AMONG OTHERS: WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT; WARRANTIES THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE; WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF USAGE DATA OR OTHER CONTENT; OR WARRANTIES THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE OR WARRANT: THAT SUPERVISION FEATURES WILL PREVENT THE CHILD FROM ACCESSING ANY PARTICULAR APP OR CONTENT; THAT THE CHILD CANNOT CIRCUMVENT THE SUPERVISION; THAT USAGE DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR TIMELY; OR THE SAFETY, BEHAVIOR, OR WELLBEING OF THE SUPERVISED CHILD. THE APP IS AN AID TO PARENTAL SUPERVISION AND DOES NOT REPLACE IT.
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE: THAT INSTAGRAM OR YOUTUBE WILL REMAIN ACCESSIBLE THROUGH BACKTOLIFE; THAT THESE PLATFORMS WILL NOT DETECT, RESTRICT, OR BLOCK ACCESS; THAT THE CHILD'S USE OF BACKTOLIFE COMPLIES WITH THE TERMS OF SERVICE OF INSTAGRAM OR YOUTUBE; OR THAT APPLE'S OR GOOGLE'S SCREEN TIME AND USAGE TECHNOLOGIES WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE, UNCHANGED, OR COMPATIBLE WITH THE APP.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ASOCIACIÓN JUNIOR EMPRESA SYNKRO, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR: ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE; OR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM: YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP; THE FAILURE OF SUPERVISION FEATURES OR THE CHILD'S CIRCUMVENTION OF THEM; ACTIONS OR CONTENT OF THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS; THE SUSPENSION OR BLOCKING OF ACCOUNTS BY THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS; UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR DEVICE, ACCOUNT, OR DATA; ERRORS, BUGS, VIRUSES, OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS; OR THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
IF WE ARE FOUND LIABLE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR €100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
IMPORTANT FOR EU CONSUMERS: Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any matter for which it would be unlawful to exclude or limit liability; or your rights under EU consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Rights Directive and the Digital Content Directive.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ASOCIACIÓN JUNIOR EMPRESA SYNKRO, its affiliates, licensors, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, liability, damage, loss, cost, or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time; change features, functionalities, or availability; impose limits on certain features; and update the App to maintain compatibility with operating systems and third-party platforms. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes when feasible.
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated Terms on our website and/or in the App, updating the "Last Updated" date, and sending email or in-app notification for material changes. Material changes include changes to pricing or payment conditions, to your rights or our responsibilities, or to dispute resolution procedures. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App and may delete your account.
You may cancel your account at any time by deleting your account from the App settings, or contacting us at info@backtolife.site. Uninstalling the App alone does not delete your account or cancel your subscription. Upon termination: your access to the App will cease; supervision of linked devices will stop; your account data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy; you remain responsible for charges incurred before termination; and sections that by their nature should survive will remain in force.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for: breach of these Terms (including Section 3.2); fraudulent, illegal, or abusive conduct; failure to pay fees; or at our discretion, for any reason. We will provide notice when reasonably possible, but are not required to in cases of serious breaches.
Upon termination by either party: all licenses granted to you terminate immediately; supervision settings stop applying to linked devices; you must cease all use of the App and delete it from your devices; we may delete your account data, subject to legal retention requirements; and the provisions on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For EU consumers, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside.
EU consumers: You may bring legal proceedings before the courts of your country of residence or in Spain. We may only bring proceedings against you before the courts of your country of residence.
Non-EU users: Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain.
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform for EU consumers at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are willing to participate in alternative dispute resolution procedures for consumer disputes.
Before filing any formal claim, please contact us at info@backtolife.site to try to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve disputes amicably.
The App may be subject to export control laws and regulations. You agree not to export or re-export the App in violation of any applicable law, use the App in any country subject to embargo or sanctions, or allow the App to be used by anyone listed on government exclusion lists.

These Terms, together with the BackToLife Parents Privacy Policy and any other policy referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings and agreements.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
Our failure to exercise any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by us.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using BackToLife Parents, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, and you confirm that you hold parental responsibility over any child whose device you link.
